Before the storm everything was splendid and highly enjoyable with food, music, friends and warm sunny skies. When the storm rolled through though it quickly ended the festivities. All but a possible one or two merchants were washed out with rain and flooding and between 5 and 6 tents were destroyed including our own. Thankfully all of our wares were not damaged, nor the tent walls or roof - but our ceiling needs to be repaired. We will later be adding a picture of what our tent looked like before and after the storm. We are all very grateful that no one was injured because of the weather.
I do have a sprained wrist and deep muscle bruise on my left arm that was hurt while getting things into the car. (A wonderful man with the booth next to us was helping us pack up and the hatchback trunk door wasn't closing since a bin was too close - and I reached in to push it up, they didn't see that I had and slammed the door down on my arm - as they were just going to try slamming the door harder to close it) Good egg and bruise but I expect it will heal in a week or two. For now a wrist brace and sling are all I need.
Looking forward to our next event at Grand Valley (October 1 and 2) which will hopefully have better weather and be less "eventful".
