Hello Again! It is time for an update.
As we are getting closer and closer to October here the store is under more and more pressure and deadlines as it gets ready for the Grand Valley Renaissance Faire. There is a lot yet to be done but nothing we can't handle! Here's a list of the big things on the "to do" list to get ready for the faire:
Paint all new hex signs. (We plan on having at least 10 available for sale at the faire. Including "mini" hex signs that are only 9 inches in diameter)
Paint and Bake new glass pieces. (Look forward to over 20 more glass pieces!)
Design, Burn and Stain last few wood burned items. (Only about 7 left!)
Select frames for select prints. (Select art prints currently offered at our Etsy shop will be available framed in October!)
Create remaining atmospheric set up elements for booth. (This is the fun part! Tricia and I get to get together soon to go fabric shopping and play with her sewing machine!)
But as always this does not keep me busy enough! So last night I was playing with some wire and beads along with some necklaces I had made and I really like the result. Before the necklaces were made of various polished rocks wrapped in silver wire to make it able to hang from a leather cord. The necklaces were nice but did not have the "oh!" factor I had been hoping for. And since their creation only 3 have sold. So I gave them a little more sparkle! and color! Below are pictures of three of the necklaces. The embellishments were inspired by the work of another FAE artist ThymetoDream. Her work is absolutely gorgeous! Take a look at her blog and see what I mean.
